MEOL - Forestry Students' association

MEOL - Forestry Students' association is a national student organization and a member of Meto - Forestry Experts' association.

MEOL represents approx. 600 students (May 2011) in 8 different Universities of Applied Sciences around Finland. All MEOL members are students who have joined Meto.

The aims of MEOL are to:

- improve educational benefits and raise the education standadrs
- improve the salary of training periods and inform our members about it
- maintain relations with school management
- inform members of upcoming forestry events
- bring forestry students together
- organize annual forestry students summer and winter games

MEOL has representatives in:

- Board of Meto
- educational committee of National Board of Education
- STTK Student Association Of The Finnish Confederation of Professionals
- IFSA The International Forestry Students' Association 
- Board of the Finnish forestry athletic association
- other forestry interest groups

The cabinet of MEOL is elected annually among its members.
